Health Talk on COVID-19 Vaccines and Vaccination Campaign

The Government launched the "Early Vaccination for All" campaign with an aim to building an immune barrier in Hong Kong as soon as possible by significantly raising the vaccination rate during the critical period from now until the end of August, thereby restoring normality to society sooner rather than later.  At this critical juncture, we appeal to your active participation in the campaign and encourage your staff to receive COVID-19 vaccination with a view to protecting themselves and their families.

The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) specifically organises a health talk on COVID-19 vaccines for catering staff and has the pleasure to invite Specialist in Clinical Microbiology and Infection as a speaker to promote an in-depth understanding of the public about COVID-19 vaccination and answer enquiries on COVID-19 vaccines by participants in the Q&A session.

Date: 30 July 2021 (Friday)
Time: 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Venue: 2/F, Lai Chi Kok Government Offices, 19 Lai Wan Road, Lai Chi Kok, Kowloon
Speaker: Dr. David LUNG (Specialist in Clinical Microbiology and Infection)
Language: Cantonese
Arrangement of Vaccination: Attendees can inoculate BioNTech vaccine (limited quotas) at the adjacent Lai Chi Kok Park Sports Centre or Sinovac vaccine (limited quotas) at Kwun Chung Sports Centre after the health talk.

Catering businesses operators may register for the health talk on the FEHD website https://www.fehd.gov.hk/english/licensing/VaccineHealthTalk_intro.html from 20 July 2021.  The deadline for online enrollment is 28 July 2021.  All seat reservation is on a first come, first served basis.  To facilitate appropriate arrangement, the operators of the premises need to fill in the number and names of the staff participating in the talk, and indicate the name of vaccine for each participant who will be vaccinated after the talk.  The FEHD will issue a confirmation SMS notification by 28 July to the catering operators who could attend the health talk and receive vaccines.  The operators have to inform their staff of the confirmation and to attend as scheduled.

The situation of COVID-19 infection remains severe. In the face of challenges posed by mutant strains, we count on our citizens to fulfil their civic responsibility and receive vaccines extensively in order to strengthen the immunity barrier in Hong Kong.
