Anti-mosquito Campaign in 2026

Prevent Japanese Encephalitis, Chikungunya Fever and Dengue Fever  Act Now

The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (the Department) is organising an Anti-mosquito Campaign in 2026 in collaboration with other Government Departments.  The theme of the Campaign is 'Prevent Japanese Encephalitis, Chikungunya Fever and Dengue Fever  Act Now'.  The Campaign is implemented in three phases.  Phase I will be conducted from 23 February 2026 to 20 March 2026.  Phase II and Phase III will be conducted from 13 April 2026 to 12 June 2026 and from 3 August 2026 to 23 October 2026 respectively.

  1. Exhibition and educational activities

    (I) Thematic Exhibition

    Sunday - 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
    Mondays, Thursdays and Public Holidays - Closed
    Last admission is 30 minutes before closing.

    (II) Roving exhibitions will be held at major shopping malls of housing estates as follows:

  2. District anti-mosquito operations
    1. The Department will launch a series of mosquito elimination operations in districts in collaboration with other Government Departments.

    2. During the campaign period, staff of the Department will follow the working programme to approach mosquito breeding places to carry out anti-mosquito prevention measures and to give technical advice to the public on prevention and control of mosquitoes.

  3. A variety of educational leaflets and posters will be distributed to the District Environmental Hygiene Offices of the Department and other departments (including Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, Department of Health, Home Affairs Department, Housing Department, Highways Department, and Leisure and Cultural Services Department), Hospital Authority, District Councils, schools, property management offices, owners’ corporations, mutual aid committees and building contractors for display and/or distribution.
