CFS launches Android version of mobile app "Nutrition Calculator"

The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department today (December 19) launched a free Android version of the mobile application (app) "Nutrition Calculator" ("NuCal"), after rolling out its upgraded version for iPhones and iPads in April this year.

The app assists the public to make better food choices by using nutrition information on prepackaged food and enables users to set up their personal food database as well as to know the daily upper limits and daily intake goals for different nutrients.

The Android version of "NuCal" is available in English, traditional Chinese and simplified Chinese versions for Android tablet computers and Android phones.
