Prevention of the Spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019
Appeal for Support of Stepping up Control Measures
for Places of Public Entertainment and Temporary Places of Public Entertainment

To minimize the risk of transmission of COVID-19 for Places of Public Entertainment and Temporary Places of Public Entertainment, operators should maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.  Since the situation of the disease has been worsening and has become a serious concern to our society.  In particular, there is a rapid increase in the number of imported cases from abroad.  We are currently under a highly critical situation where there is a strong need to maintain social distancing in order to contain the spread of the disease in the community.

The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department strongly appeals for your support to step up health protection measures, as well as measures to maintain social distancing, such as adjusting the opening hours and seating capacity on condition that the approved layout is not affected, or even temporary closure, so as to reduce the risk of infection caused by gathering of patrons.  In addition, if there are any children playrooms in the premises, we strongly appeal for temporary closure of these facilities.

Please visit the designated website (www.coronavirus.gov.hk) maintained by the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health for information about the novel coronavirus and health advice. Please continue your attention to further updates may be available from the websites of CHP.  Thank you for your support.
