To the Swimming Pool Licence Holders

Dear Sir/Madam,

COVID-19 - Recommended Measures to be adopted for Swimming Pools

With the latest situation of the COVID-19, recommended measures relevant to swimming pool in items (1), (3), (11) , (20)(a), (c), (d) and (e) of the letter to you dated 18 May 2020 should be revised as follows:

(1) not more than 80% of the number of persons stipulated in the licensing condition is to be accommodated in the swimming pool premises at any one time;

(3) notices are to be displayed at the spectator stand to advise users to wear masks and keep social distancing. Also, hand sanitizers should be provided at the entrance of the spectator stand.

(11) delete

(20) (a)  shower cubicles or shower heads with partitions in reopened leisure facilities will fully open. Shower heads without partitions will open but continue maintaining 1.5 metres apart;

(20) (c)&(d) delete

(20) (e) carry out regular environmental cleaning and disinfection on the facilities including storage cabinets at least once every four hours; and

For continuous upkeeping of environmental hygiene, swimming pool management must make concerted and persistent efforts to ensure cleanliness and hygienic conditions of the premises.
