Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions)
(Business and Premises)(Amendment) Regulation
The Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) (Amendment) Regulation 2020 takes effect on 1 April 2020. Part 1 of Schedule 2 of The Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (the Regulation) was amended and 6 premises including Karaoke Establishment were added. Karaoke Establishment means:
- Karaoke Establishment as defined by section 2(1) of the Karaoke Establishments Ordinance (Cap. 573); or
- Karaoke Establishment referred to in section 3(1)(a) or (c) of that Ordinance.
The above-mentioned Karaoke Establishment must be closed for a period of 14 days beginning at 6:00 p.m. on 1 April 2020.
FEHD will take enforcement action against offenders in defiance of public safety and environmental hygiene issues, including the Regulation.
