The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) will accept applications for the Initial phase from May 18, 2026, to June 8, 2026. Details are as follows:

Application Period: May 18, 2026 – June 8, 2026
Eligibility :

Restaurants holding the following valid full licenses:

  • General Restaurant Licence
  • Light Refreshment Restaurant Licence
  • Marine Restaurant Licence

Application requirement:

  • The licensed area of the restaurant must be larger than 20 square metres.
  • The establishment must not be a hot pot or barbecue restaurant (including Teppanyaki, Korean BBQ and other similar barbecue.)
  • Applicant confirms that the food premises and the property in which the food premises is located allow the entry of dogs.
Quota:

The quota for the First Phase is no more than 1,000. (In the event of over-subscription, a balloting process will be conducted to allocate quotas, to determine the successful applicants and to establish the order of the waitlist.)

 Please complete and submit the Online Application Form.

Information Required:

  • Identity Card Number of the Licensee;
  • Mobile Phone Number (capable of receiving SMS); and
  • Food Business License Number.

Note: Only online applications will be accepted during the First Phase.

Date: Expected Mid-June

The balloting process will be recorded and uploaded to the FEHD dedicated website. The balloting result will be sent to applicants through SMS.
