The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) and the Architectural Services Department (ArchSD) co-organised a design thinking programme called Toilet Tells: Rediscover Public Toilet (Toilet Tells), with a view to seeking innovative ideas for developing ideal public toilets.

Using design thinking as the backbone, Toilet Tells will cover four stages: Discover, Define, Develop and Deliver.

The Special Online Preview was held on the morning of 21 November 2020 (Saturday).

Also, 8 workshops will be held between January and June 2021, so as to gain an in-depth understanding of the needs of various stakeholders and to explore more possibilities in the design and management of public toilet services.

Recently, different sectors and members of the public proactively provided their valuable opinions on public toilet services, including types and functions of water closets, the portable toilets (including accessible unisex-type portable toilets) in terms of number, size as well as fitments etc.  We encourage all of you and to participate in the design thinking workshops through registration actively.  With the benefit of your views and working together in concert, we hope that the development of public toilets could move with times.
