On 2 February 2026, the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) held the Awards Ceremony for Tackling Dripping Air-conditioners 2025 at Leighton Hill Community Hall to commend and express gratitude to property management agents (PMAs), owners' corporations and district organisations for their dedicated efforts and contributions through active participation in the Scheme of Participation by Property Management Agents in Tackling Dripping Air-conditioners in the past year.

At the ceremony, Mr YIU Kai-cheuk, Arsene, JP, Deputy Director of Food and Environmental Hygiene (Environmental Hygiene), expressed his gratitude to the PMAs for their key role at the district level.  As the PMAs are familiar with the situation of their housing estates and the residents, they are capable of handling the issue of dripping air-conditioners in housing estates more effectively.  Besides, the FEHD collaborated with the Property Management Services Authority to develop the Best Practice Guide on Handling Dripping Air Conditioners, which provides relevant guidance to assist licensed PMAs and property management personnel in handling dripping air-conditioners.  Meanwhile, he also thanked members and organisations of the local community for their relentless efforts and assistance in identifying the source of dripping from air-conditioners during law enforcement operations, and for carrying out publicity and education campaigns in the community in a proactive manner, so as to remind members of the public to properly address the dripping air-conditioner issues and avoid causing nuisance to others.

The PMAs, owners' corporations, District Council members and district organisations all play an important role in addressing dripping air-conditioners and other environmental hygiene matters.  The FEHD is looking forward to further enhancing the co-operation with them to create a better living environment for the public.
