Under the COVID-19 epidemics, the Government has imposed social distancing measures. The business of food factories operating in food courts inside shopping malls has been hard hit by the epidemics and the social distancing measures.  Under the fourth round of the Anti-epidemic Fund, the Government has established a Food Courts Subsidy Scheme to provide a one-off subsidy to business of eligible licensed food factories.

This Food Courts Subsidy Scheme provides one-off subsidy ranging from $20,000 to $100,000 to eligible licence holders of food factories in operation in food courts according to the approved floor area of the licensed premises. The FEHD accepts applications for the scheme starting from 1 March 2021 at 9:00 a.m., the deadline for applications will be on 31 March 2021 at 5:00 p.m.  Late submission will not be entertained.
