To facilitate the drainage works of the new Service Hall No. 4 in Wo Hop Shek Crematorium (the Crematorium), the portion of vehicular access outside the new Service Hall No. 4 were temporarily closed on 13.8.2021 for a 4-month period until further notice.  Special transport arrangement (see Attachment) will be implemented in the Crematorium and Kiu Tau Road with details listed below:

  1. Only 3 hearses and 3 small coaches (with 24 or fewer seats) are allowed to enter the vehicular access of the Crematorium at all time, those could not enter the Crematorium are required to queue up along Kiu Tau Road towards Tai Wo Service Road West (Location 1);

  2. All large coaches (with more than 24 seats) will not be allowed to enter the vehicular access of the Crematorium.  Passengers are required to access the service halls through the pedestrian lane (as indicated by the blue arrows).  In the meantime the coaches shall wait at the designated waiting area at Kiu Tau Road (Location 2);

  3. The vehicular access of the Crematorium will be converted to one-lane two-way traffic.  The number and the type of vehicles entering the traffic lane will be strictly controlled (the Pink Area);

  4. The applicant of each individual cremation application may arrange at maximum 1 hearse and 1 small coach (with 24 or fewer seats) to enter the vehicular access of the Crematorium. The hearse, after unloading the coffin, shall proceed to and wait at the designated waiting area (Location 2); And

  5. Please follow the directions of traffic wardens at scene.

In view of the above special transport arrangement, wheelchair users and people in need are advised to use the lift of the Crematorium to access the service halls.
