Chung Yeung Festival Day falls on 23 October 2023, and a large number of visitors are expected to visit public columbaria to pay tribute to their ancestors during the festival period. The Government appeals to members of the public to avoid grave sweeping during the peak crowds in Chung Yeung Festival Day and to try to spread out over longer days in the Chung Yeung Festival period to reduce crowd gathering.

To cope with the crowd, the opening hours of all public columbaria during the Chung Yeung Festival period, i.e. from 7 October 2023 (Sat) to 5 November 2023 (Sun), will be extended as follows:
