Introduction
The Government fully recognises and appreciates the frontline cleansing and security workers who have been carrying out their duties with dedication during the epidemic. With further extension of the scope of the subsidy to the relevant workers under the sixth round of the Anti-epidemic Fund (AEF 6.0), a monthly allowance of $2,000 will be provided to the relevant frontline workers of licensed funeral parlours and private cemeteries for a period of five months (from February to June 2022).
Application Period
Thea application period starts from 9 am on 5 August 2022 and ends at 5pm on 31 August 2022.
Eligibility
Eligible Types of Premises
The premises shall be one of the following:
- Licensed funeral parloursï¼›or
- Private cemeteries (excluding cemeteries managed by the Board of Management of the Chinese Permanent Cemeteries)
Frontline Cleansing and Security Workers Eligible for the allowance
At any time within February to June 2022 ("Subsidised Period"):
- Frontline cleansing workers and security workers directly employed by an eligible premises to perform duties related to cleansing or security work therein (also applicable to part-time or temporary workers); or
- Frontline cleansing workers and security workers employed by a cleansing/security service contractors or their sub-contractors to perform duties related to cleansing or security work in an eligible premises (also applicable to part-time or temporary workers).
Eligible Applicant
The applicant shall be either the licensee of funeral parlours or the operating institution/ company/ organisation of private cemeteries of eligible premises.
Application Submission
The applicant shall submit the completed application form together with the necessary documents through:
