Chung Yeung Festival Day falls on 29 October 2025, and a large number of visitors are expected to visit public columbaria to pay tribute to their ancestors during the festival period. The Government appeals to members of the public to avoid grave sweeping during the peak crowds on Chung Yeung Festival Day and to try to spread out over longer span in the Chung Yeung Festival period to reduce crowd gathering.
For better crowd management, the opening hours of all public columbaria during the Chung Yeung Festival period, i.e. 11 October 2025 (Sat) to 9 November 2025 (Sun), will be extended as follows:
