Rental payments can be made by the following methods:
In Person
Payment may be made in person at any post office (except mobile post offices). The rental demand note should be produced intact. It will be receipted and returned to the payer. Information about the locations of post offices and their opening hours can be obtained through Hongkong Post’s enquiry hotline at 2921 2222 or Hongkong Post’s website: http://www.hongkongpost.com .
By Post
A cheque, bank draft or cashier order should be sent together with the “SLIP FOR PAYMENT BY POST” at the lower portion of the rental demand note to The Treasury, P.O. Box No. 28000, Gloucester Road Post Office, Hong Kong. The payer should write the 10-digit “Account Number” shown in the rental demand note on the back of the cheque, bank draft or cashier order. Cash should not be sent through the post. No receipts will be issued for postal payment.
By PPS - Merchant Code : 9147
The payer is required to register the rent account by dialling 18011 using a tone phone. The registration should be done by entering the merchant code 9147 and the 10-digit “Account Number” shown in the rental demand note. After registration, the payer can make payment by dialling 18031 and entering the merchant code 9147 and the registered “Account Number”. Enquiries can be made by calling the PPS Hotline: 2311 9876.
Through Internet
Payment may be made through bill payment services provided by banks or PPS on the Internet. Information about the websites of banks and PPS on Internet can be obtained from the Treasury’s website: http://www.try.gov.hk. In making payment, the payer should select “Food and Environmental Hygiene Department” and enter the 10-digit “Account Number" shown in the rental demand note. If payment is made by PPS on Internet, it is also necessary to select “Bill Type 4”.
By Bank Automated Teller Machine (ATM)
Payment may be made through the Automated Teller Machines affixed with "Bill Payment " or “JET Payment” signage. The payer is required to select "Food and Environmental Hygiene Department" and enter the 10-digit "Account Number" shown in the rental demand note.
