To tackle the problem of water seepage, the Joint Office (JO) has implemented a scheme in certain private estates in 2012 to solicit participation from respective property management agents (PMAs) in handling complaints on water seepage. Staff of participating PMAs, while performing routine management duties in the estate, will help to identify the source of water seepage and advise the occupier concerned to rectify the problem through mediation. If such effort of the PMA does not resolve the complaint, JO will intervene by taking up the case for follow-up action.
