The Kowloon Cemeteries and Crematoria (Application for Permit) Office located at Upper Ground Floor, 6 Cheong Hang Road, Hung Hom, Kowloon will undergo refurbishment starting from 15th April 2024, which is expected to last for about five months.

The office hours of the above Office shall remain unchanged and continue to provide services such as permit application, cremated ashes collection and payment of fees for related services. However, some service counters will be closed by phase during construction. Longer waiting time for application of services at the Office is expected. Please obtain queue ticket on site for queuing. In addition, some areas of the Office will be closed temporarily to support construction need. Members of the public may have to make use of the side entrance (near the shroff) to visit and leave the Office. Please follow the signs and instruction provided on site and your cooperation is much appreciated.

Nevertheless, members of the public may alternatively choose to visit the Hong Kong Cemeteries and Crematoria (Application for Permit) Office located at 1J Wong Nai Chung Road, Happy Valley, Hong Kong for submitting applications and for other permit-related services (except for public applying for (i) Allocation of New/ Vacant Urn Graves in Public Cemeteries; (ii) Interment of Exhumed Remains/ Deposit of Cremated Ashes in Urn Grave of Public Cemeteries; (iii) Exhumation of Remains for Relocation to Burial Places for Indigenous New Territories Villagers; and (iv) applicants on the waiting list of reused niches whom received our letter inviting them to visit the Kowloon Cemeteries and Crematoria (Application for Permit) Office on designated date(s) to participate in the reused niches reallocation exercise). The Department aims to provide the public a better environment after the Office refurbishment. We apologize for the intermittent noise, pungent odor, flying dust, etc. that may occur during the construction period, as well as the inconvenience so caused to the public.
